The Norwegian thematic report in 11 different languages

The Norwegian thematic report that defines and elaborates on the concept of universal design is now translated to Portuguese. The report is now available in 11 different languages.

The Norwegian authorities seek to play an active role in promoting an ongoing international dialogue on the understanding and use of the concept of universal design.

In the autumn of 2007, the Ministry of the Environment published a thematic report entitled Universal Design – Clarification of the Concept. This report defines and clarifies the concept of universal design, thereby establishing a common basis for the application of this strategy in Norwegian public documents; for theoretical, methodological and practical development; and for use in information material. The text has been developed on the basis of feedback and input from government agencies, specialist institutions, organisations and individual government ministries.

The thematic report on universal design has now been translated to 11 different languages, not counting Norwegian:
