The Agency for Road and Transport in Oslo, together with the Porsgrunn and Skien municipalities, has made five short films about universal design. These films are funny and their messages are simple and to the point. They can also be used by others in connection with talks and seminars, for example.

These three towns have worked on the issue of universal design in different ways and the five short films are their first collaborative effort. The five film titles are "Super Dad", "Skateboard", "Crutches", "The Kerb" and "Cinema".

The films, all of which last for less than 90 seconds, have been produced by creative students at Westerdals School of Communication in Oslo. Most of the financing has come from the Ministry of the Environment.

The idea for the films was hatched at a seminar in Copenhagen when three creative women were talking about the possibility of cooperating across the formal universal design network groups.

The commercials can be seen on the Agency for Road and Transport in Oslo's universal design website. A CD of the films can be ordered from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in Skien municipality.
